I go to this school and it provides a great education. On the other hand, teachers do not do anything about bullying, so people are physically and verbally abused every day. I don't feel very safe here.

The administrators support the teachers, and at the same time, they care about the kids. We have a family atmosphere, and our team of teachers is creative and persistent in finding ways to help all students succeed.

Opportunities available for a variety of interests: academic, athletic, art, music, and more!!! Very safe environment that is not tolerant of inappropriate behavior yet appreciative of students' unique qualities!

My son loved this school. From a mom's point of view their office staff was unfriendly and unhelpful on several occasions. They don't have individual intercoms to the class so if you need to tell your child 'ride the bus home with so and so because I won't be home' the office staff refuses to walk to the class and relay messages. You must get off work and physically go to the school and let your child know what your message is. I think that's absolutely ridiculous. When we moved and needed our son's school records right away for him to begin the new school. He missed the first 2 days of his new school because the staff procrastinated. Thomas Jefferson's Office staff is a POOR EXCUSE for an office.

My son attends Ben Franklin Middle School and is in the 8th grade. He REALLY loves school! (I have NEVER seen this before!). We have had nothing but good experiences from this school, coming from a school district that wasn't helpful with my son's mild ADHD. Also, I have heard from ANOTHER parent whose daughter attends 6th grade that she LOVES this school also. The teachers' are really devoted to helping your child and giving the best education possible. I'm sorry that the previous reviewer had a bad experience - I knnow how you feel having this happen to us at another school.
