As a graduate of AHS and now a parent of an AHS student, I see the same dedication to the students from the teachers now that I experienced years ago. AHS has a wide variety of programs/sports/clubs for the students to join and are supported in those ventures not just by the staff, but by all students K-12 and our community as well.

It has so many different opportunities offered to the students whether it be academic or extra curricular. I am an alumni and moved back to the area because I wanted my children to have the same extraordinary education that I had.

Very good academic school, one of the best in Iowa. As mentioned before, it is known for it's academic extracurriculars and diversity. Sports are improving, but average overall.
