This is a school where every teacher and staff member knows every student by name, and cares about every single one. Students are taught responsibility, character and integrity from kindergarten up, and the entire school celebrates when a new class has First Communion or a new class "graduates" and moves on to middle school, It feels more like a family of learners than a school. All families have their occasional differences or difficult moments, but they are handled efficiently with love and strong values. I am constantly amazed by the level of learning my students share at home, and impressed by the teachers holding them accountable for their learning and their actions. They are taught from the beginning to care for others and help each other. The world will be a better place for what these kids are learning. Fundraisers help provide things like new technology, and the kids get into it themselves with rewards like "sliming" the principal or taping him to a wall as a reward for reaching their goals. The principal knows every kid and every kid loves him. Couldn't ask for a better school environment.

We love St. Matthew School. It is a wonderful learning environment for all students. And it is the type of school where every teacher (not just his or her classroom teacher) knows your child's name. They learn daily (through instruction, interaction with peers and examples by teachers and staff) that their faith is an important part of their life and that all people should be treated with respect and kindness. My children thrive at St. Matthew School and we are so thankful to be part of the St. Matthew community. It is truly a welcoming and fun-filled school committed to helping each student build a successful foundation for learning. And just one last note: it is wonderful to also have an Early Childhood Center and Preschool program that feed into the elementary school so students feel a connection to St. Matthew and are welcomed into the wonderfuul learning environment early.

Simply put, St. Matthew School is the best. We have had two children who have had the benefit of going through and have two children who are currently attending. The level of education all of our kids have received is superior. We have watched our children become prepared and nurtured in every area.....academic, spiritual, emotional, physical, etc. The leadership of the principal is strong and an anchor of all things good that happen and the teachers and all support staff are amazing. Everyone is on the same page. Parents are invited and encouraged to be a part of the team as far as helping children become their best. Finally, the best part of St. Matthew School is that we are all a family, reaching out and supporting each other, the way Christ wants. Choosing St. Matthew School/Parish for our family has been the best decision our family has ever been blessed with.

Each child is respected for his or her individuality, and the staff truly care about the kids.
