Our test scores are among the best in the state (90% proficient in reading, and 93% in math). Athletics and music programs also perform at the top of the 3A class. Community support is also booming! Size of the school is big enough to have the ability to provide students a wide variety of opportunities, yet small enough that they receive individual attention and don't get lost in the shuffle. WD is a wonderful school and community!

our school is set in a very rural setting, so the academic opportunities available to the students are surprising. Students from other schools are enrolled in some of our classes because they are not available at their school. Yes, Our test scores do seem low, but that is because of a lack of interest throughout the student body. If a student tries, they will succeed, it's just that many of them don't. We have an excellent athletics and music program by the way. The only disadvantage is that many of the kids who get the top spots have names which are deep rooted in the community. If your family doesn't have any pull, your child has a much smaller chance of getting their well-deserved time in the spotlight. Also, we have an excellent art program which should get more funding and recognition.
