I have been very pleased with the caring and loving attitude of the Ottumwa Christian School. They work with less, but they give MORE than any organization I have been involved with. My child has never been so confident in himself and his academic ablilities due to the help of the teachers and curriculum that is higher than the public schools. The smaller class sizes have been a huge benefit as well. Our first year at OCS has given us the opportunity to meet great Christian people, get involved in supporting our child's school and a family atmosphere. There is always someone willing to help with whatever your need may be and we appreciate the daily communication that the teachers give. The OCS staff deserve big pats on the back for all their hard work and dedication! I would recommend this school to anyone looking for more one on one involvement with your children academically and Christian morals and beliefs taught on a daily basis.

I have two students who attend the Ottumwa Christian School. I am very pleased with the school. Class sizes are not to large giving teachers more one on one time with each student. Teachers are very caring and compassionate to their students. The have a excellent curriculum. Overall I would say that OCS is an excellent school.

As a Christian school, we expect patience, love and understanding throughout the year by the faculty. Teenagers can be trying and I do not feel or see the Christian stance or attitude taken at this school. There are multiple denominations represented at this school which we find as confusing for the pupils as there are many different views expressed by the teaching staff. The school doctrine is not followed as promised. Pupil enrollement has dropped drastically in the past few years. You will see 1/2 priced tuition for the next year. You will be asked to donate everytime there is a function, the school will need it. We have struggled for years barley making it on full tuition. No sports supported by board or leadership.

This school is outstanding in the academic structure they present to students. Our granddaughter, in 1st grade, could write cursive as well as her older sister, who is in high school. The curriculum is geared for more advanced learners, but teachers work well with all levels of student performance. There are many activities parents and children can get involved in. It is small enough to create a family environment within the teacher/student census, but is large enough to allow for a quality of education that I feel is higher than that offered by the public school. Christian values and ethics are also a part of each student's learning. I am thankful for such an outstanding educational facility in Ottumwa, Iowa. This is a top-rate school with very dedicated and caring teachers and staff.
