'As an 8th grade student at the school I am very pleased with it. My family has been going to this school for many years. In my opinion the teachers and staff are wonderful. I know I will be upset when my attendance at the school after 9 years comes to an end. I had the most wonderful teachers ever. The junior high teachers are very helpful and they really do care. As far as the younger teachers go some of them I did not get to have but those who I did have were also great and helpful.'

My child attended Cherokee Elementary during the 2003-2004 year as a kindergartener. He enjoyed his homeroom teacher, but noticed the lack of unity within the school's wall. The second year at Cherokee Elementary was a total loss. The child was left worse for being in a first grade teacher's room. We believe that the Cherokee system could be a great system with magnificant teachers if some of the bad apples were removed. Take a close look at individual teachers before deciding to send your child to a very unmanaged system. Only the conscious teachers should be considered-not because they have held there job there for thirty years.
