If you have a high school student they will be in a school that is less than 5 years old. It has all that a student would want or need for a quality educational experience. The teachers are second to none.........and they educate all students. The middle school consists of only 7 - 8 graders, then it goes to the CIC which is 4 - 6 grades, the elementary which consists of 1 - 3 grades and then a pre-K - Kindergarten building. It is a great community to live in and it is a great school system to educate you children. I would highly recommend this district.
I have been very pleased by the efforts of Clearwater High School to make positive change over the past school year. Things are happening at CHS that will draw more people to the community. Leadership within the school system has changed and positive things are happening. Demographics are very conducive to success and the student body is willing to work for everything they gain. Great job Clearwater!
Here it's the good old boy system, a lot depends on if you have the correct last name. Those with the right last name & if you are a child of a teacher in the district, you get special treatment. We would rather tear down and humiliate our athletes & students in the classroom as well as our sports programs, than to build the up and encourage good work ethics that we need to survive in the real world. And if you make complaints to the principal or school board, your child receives the fallout. This use to be a good school, what happened!
Clearwater USD 264 is an extremely Liberal district. The district focuses more on providing jobs for the community than educating the students, and teacher comfort is a priority over student education. Teachers are not monitored well enough, and their teaching methods and class progress are not monitored at all.
