I am a student at derby high school and I love it! I hated wichita schools and Derby makes me feel more safe!

We graduated two children, a boy and a girl, from Derby High School after attending DHS beginning in 4th and 6th grade. My children found wonderful, caring teachers and a learning environment that helped them to excel. The extra curricular activities in Derby are wide-ranging and leave opportunities for every child in the district to find a place where they fit-in and can meet people with like interests. The parents truly care about the students and reputation of the school district. The community - for the most part - is supportive of the expense involved in living in one of the fastest growing cities in the state, and are usually willing to support the school district. THIS IS A FINE SCHOOL - We have been very proud to be associated with this school and community of Derby, KS.
