This will be the second child of mine to transition from this school. My older child had a wonderful experience here but my younger child hasn't. There are quite a few behaviorial issues in this school, and although the principal and staff do their best, I am afraid it just isn't good enough. Academically the school rates high, but the behavior issues bring the school experience to a low. I would think twice about sending your child to this school until they get their bullying, uncontrollable children under control.

Claude Huyck is a great school, my daughter is very advanced in her learning. She is in a safe environment, there is great parental involvement and the staff is very courteous and concerned. I am very satisfied with this school.

This is a great school! The KCK school district works with very few resouces and this school makes the best out of what they have. The staff is great - from the principal to the teachers, secretary, nurse and custodian. The principal is great - firm but very fair. I wish she would have been my principal when I was in grade school! I will be very sad to see my child transition to another school.
