Want a top-notch rural school environment for your child? Olpe is one of the best small schools in the state! You'll find caring administrators, faculty and staff, a terrific close-knit community of learners, supportive parents, and a safe learning environment. The Olpe schools have well-disciplined, respectful students who regularly meet the standard of excellence on the state assessments, and perform better than average on standardized tests. Olpe is known for its tradition of excellence in sports, as well. The cross-country, volleyball, basketball, and football teams have been competitive at the state level. Individual students have also made regular appearances at the state track meet. The Olpe schools remain on an infinite journey of self-improvement. They will never be satisfied with the status quo. The continual pursuit of excellence, combined with a generational tradition of pride, makes Olpe a terrific place for kids to learn and mature into successful adults.

I have had kids in the Olpe schools and they have attended other schools in the past. I found Olpe to be well above average in most areas. They have a very competent faculty and strong test scores. Although limited like many small schools in class offerings. My girls participated in a very strong and successful athletic program and enough activities to stay busy and involved. Facilities are adequate although dated. The level of technology is again adequate but perhaps a bit too limited. The school has had some turnover in administrative leadership but seems on the right path. Friendly and safe school and community. School counselor was very helpful to my children in counseling services and college information and scholarship search. Overall of the schools we have experienced I give Olpe schools high marks. They are well respected in athletics and academics both.

I have had 4 children attend OHS and found the Science and English instructors to be exemplary and inspiring to my children. All instructors have been willing to work with students and parents. Olpe has a very good athletic program and turns out quality athletes. The only negative for this school was the counselor's lack of motivation to actively seek out scholarships for those students who were not 4.0 or basketball oriented. We would have liked to have had a National Honor Society to inspire the students.
