I have never seen a more professional staff!! Very warm and welcoming! The principal seems to know each and every child by name and very careing and concearned! Great job! Feel so great trusting my daughter is in their hands!!
WONDERFUL! Staff all very nice and bend over backward to help the parent. AWESOME principal
Our children have been in 3 different schools around the state because of job relocations. This is an outstanding school with outstanding administration. Unbelievable from the office personnell to environmental service workers to the teachers in the classroom. What a weight off my shoulders as a parent to know who's hands my children are in every day. I have always felt so very welcomed and allowed to be completely involved in my student's education.
I have had three girls at different academic levels spend three years each at West Elementary. All three had a wonderful experience. We also volunteered at the school on numerous occasions and found that almost all of the teachers were excellent and very concerned about doing a good job of educating all of their students. A sad fact at most schools these days is that too many parents are totally disengaged. There are many students trying to get into this school district from adjacent districts. I have no affiliation with the district, outside of some volunteer work. But overall, it is a very fine school district.
My second child is enrolled here, and about to enter middle school. I've found this school has a 'few' really great teachers, who care about the children as individuals. But, enter the school quietly and unannounced. Each and every parent I know, has at some point in time heard a teacher yelling or talking down to a child.
