Great school! Teachers are caring and dedicated to learning. Great extra cirrucular, sports, and educational programs. For the last few years Hazard high school has been ranked in the top 7 in the state according to state tests and is the only school in ranked in the top 10 which takes students with disabilities. Alot of this success stems from the background they get at Walkertown and Roy G.
This is a really great school. They have a high level of parent involvement. The sports programs are really great and even the Kindergarten classes get to participate. The education is outstanding, they have small classes and your child will get one on one attention which helps then learn better. You will get to know the teachers and the parents by name. Overall I believe it is the best grade school in Eastern Kentucky.
