The teachers at Kennedy truly care about the students. I believe we have the best teachers in the county led by the best principal. They push both of my children to the height of their academic ability. At the same time the Monetessori curriculum ensures no children are ever behind or slip through the cracks. The PTA is great and sponsors so many wonderful activities in which we always have a great parent turnout and involvement. All in all I believe Kennedy is the best choice for my kids and I love my JFK family.

Kennedy is a school that cares about the student's entire being. Not just education, but about the student's lifestyle and what they have to face on a daily basis. Kennedy also risest to the occasion and finds solutions for the student so they have a better chance to excel to their highest potential!

Kennedy is great school! The teachers and Principal are wonderful. I love that parent involvement is encouraged. The teachers have high expectations from the children and allow them to trully grow at their own pace. The diverse nature of the student population only aides in overall experience at this exceptional school. My children have progressed exceptionally well here. I would recommend this school to anyone. The Montessori approach is a positive environment and only helps aides in development and encouragement of our bright little ones.

It truly follows the child as an individual. The teachers here really care. Each child, parent, and teacher work together to help each child grow academically and as an individual. This is a school truly that cares about the education of all children. The staff communicate and focus on what is the greatest good for each child. Kennedy Montessori is always trying to better themselves as educators and avocates for children.

The staff, students, curriculum, and PTA are all wonderful at John F. Kennedy Montessori. The school is truly a 'melting pot' of families from many different social and ethnic backgrounds, who all work together to create a rich educational environment where each student knows they are safe and loved.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
