I have custody of my 13 year old special needs grandson. He attends East Middle in Shelbyville Kentucky. I am always pleased with the teaching at this school. As well as the staff there. They seem to truely care about the children--not just my grandsons class but all of the children. I am pleased that he attends this school and that Ms. Penrod is his teacher.

I have had an excellent experience with the school. The principal took time to meet with me even thought I dropped in and had no appointment. I believe my child is safe and happy. The teachers do a great job of preparing my child for high school and beyond.

I have had a great experience with the school staff as a parent. I did have to initially ask for things like the announcements to be emailed to me but that was it.

This is my firsthand experience--not hearsay. I've had trouble getting the princiapl or teachers to return repeated calls for parent/teacher conferences all year long. I was doing parent volunteering at this school, but I stopped since I am so disgusted with the school staff's novice performance as professionals.
