Simmons Elementary School

Student Teacher: I spent time in the Kindergarden class taught by Mrs. Rush. The teacher was EXCELLENT! The school ran efficiently and students were learning and happy to be doing so. I rate this school as 5 star excellent.

this is my son's second year at simmons. my son is a minority at simmons. the teachers/staff have been great. the PTA are short of volunteers, wish more would join. i do wish that the school introduced more after school activities to the younger kids. kids should be given time to enjoy their growing up years with lots of opportunities to expand themselves (physically and mentally) or i wish the town had a really good community center (one that incorporates various activities for all the children - all ages/backgrounds. versailles is a great town to grow up in, it does have it's down side (like most towns/cities). but overall, my son and my family are doing well here.

We love simmons. Every teacher we have 3 kids there and every teacher has been great. i am not a fan of the truancy rules but i see the necessity. however the worst thing about the school is the pta or specifically the few that try to run everything!

we absolutely love simmons elementary. we were apprehensive at first because of the condition of the old building and the area it was located in. I guess we were being 'snobby' ourselves. next year they will move into a massively renovated like-new building. The teachers are absolutely fabulous and although we to liked mrs oder, the new principal mrs gilkinson is a great lady.

Simmons is a great school. we have been very pleased with the teachers we have dealt with. it fact we are sad to see mrs oder retire. its too bad the school is in such a snobby town. you would think that people in a small ky town would be friendly. Nope!
