This school has achieved so much for being in such a small town! The school s performance score of 140.8 a nearly 20-point improvement over the prior year has it labeled an A+ school and ranked as the top nonselective public school in the state, according to Louisiana Department of Education rankings. It is awesome how truly dedicated the teachers of Erath High are in their work with their students! They don't give up until their students excel! Some of the programs implemented at Erath like mandatory tutoring either after school or during lunch for failing students and daily in-school tutoring, called intervention, that targets students who are falling behind in a course. Schools all over the state are getting ideas from Erath High School of how to help their students succeed! The parent and community involvement at this school is a main cause to the school's success! The administration knows how to make school fun and a place their students want to be.
Wonderful school with great parent involvement, and a first class addministration.
Excellent School. Besides the principal.
I would say the best thing about this school is the safety net around the kids. This is the type of school where kids can leave their things on the ground and run off and not have to worry about things being taking. I didn't realize how important this was until I attended other schools
if you're 'in' you're 'in' if not forget about it there is a certain criteria to fit in and if you don't your thrown to the way side i dread my children going to EHS.
My two children have attended Cathedral Carmel Elementary in Lafayette, La. Cathedral Carmel was a acidemically challenging school. We have enrolled our children in Erath School High School and Elementary and have notice a hugh difference. They have excelled in there grades, have gained confidence and self esteem, and are a lot happier and involved. I would like to commend Erath High and Erath Elementary for the wonderful job they are doing.
This is a great school to go to and I am very excited that I will be graduating next year and I will be able to go to college knowing that I am prepared because my teachers work hard everyday to provide all of the students with knowledge. If I would have children I would with no doubt send my children to Erath High because I am aware of the learning program and I and my parents are satisfied with it. I believe that we don't have many electives and I believe that we could have more but we are a small school and we have enough for the size of school we are.
