I attended Houma Christian as a child and could not be more thankful for the love, guidance, and support that that teachers and staff gave. Growing up in a corrupt world like todays is not easy for a child at such a tender age, and parents cannot watch every move their children make. They can only teach them the best they can and pray that they follow thier guidance. I had a great upbringing, and Houma Christian School reinforced those good morals and values. Houma Christian helps to guide your child to have a closer relationship with Christ our savior and at the same time provide excellent academics that are sure to have your child college bound. I now have two children who attend Houma Christian and I would not have it any other way. I highly recomend this school!
This school has a great atmosphere, and has very high test scores. The classes are not very big,but unlike other schools there very clean,i went to leigon park, and i didnt even want to use the restroom,it was disgusting. At HCS you can basicly eat off te ground.Next, if you want your child to learn about Jesus Christ,HCS is your school! Finally, the teachers are very helpful and attentive.I totally recomend to send your child to Houma Christian School.
Like every school houma christian has there flaws, but keeping God first is what they do and the out come is always good. if you want your kid to learn about God, and to have teachers that really care about how your kid is doing not only in education but every other aspected of life then this is the place to bring them. =)
I love this school. I have three children that attend, and I am very pleased. The teachers are excellent. They are very well rounded. They are Christ centered. ACT scores are above the national average. Discipline is very good also. I wouldn't trade a thing. I am thankful for Houma Christian.
The school is not that big and has alot of students. The classes are too big. There is alot of drama and hate between students and that does not fit into the 'Christian' part of Houma Christian School. I personally think that there should me some sort of session once a week when you talk to a person truthfully about them and try to build up a better friendship with one another. The teachers do not pay good attention to what is going on in class. When the teachers do pay attention to what is going on in class it's always 'go to the office'. They do not like to deal with problems in the class. The school is very stressful. I love school, but I hate to wake up and know that Houma Christian is where I'm going. I don't recommend that you send your child to Houma Christian School.
The student to teacher ratio is not balanced. My child has been attending this school for 8 yrs now but will not be returning because of this. He has fallen behind as a result of this problem. The classes seem to get larger every year.
Awesome Christ centered school with personal atmosphere. Great teacher student ratio from K-12th grade. HCS has something for everyone, many sports and clubs. High ACT scores every year. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Go Warriors!
This is our 3rd year here and we just love HCS. The education has been fantastic, both acedemic and biblical. Volunteering at school is a great way to help out and a great way to stay involved in your child's life.
the class atmosphere isn't large enough, the school is just too small, and tightly packed.
