As an educator in the public school system I can truly say that St.Philomena provided my child with an excellent education in academics. She had wonderful teachers who were caring and well rounded. These teachers were as good if not better than any teacher teaching in the public school system. The school suffered due to its low enrollment. If more people from the area would have supported the school it would have been a thriving school as it once upon a time was. I know of no perfect schools and when someone finds one please let me know where it is located. Extracurricular activities were the first things to be cut at our school due to funding and lack of resources, just as they are being cut at all other schools. Parent involvement was high only for some things that were mandatory. We miss our school every day.
