Our child moved schools this year and has excelled at RA. She has had so many more opportunities, including band. She was welcomed by classmates, teachers and even other parents from day one. If you are looking for a good school that educates the whole child, RA is worth the time. I have spoken to many other "new" parents who have told me how happy their child is also.

Riverside Elementary is a great school. The teachers are so passionate and go out of their way to treat everyone equally. I have two children that attend Riverside Academy and they both love school and love their teachers. The education is out of this world! My kindergarten child is learning addition and subtraction and my third grader is learning all kinds of things. She is doing good in math but does have to study alot. The teacher know she tries very hard and allows her to stay in at recess and gives her extra help! Now that says alot for the third grade teachers! They are both awesome! The parent involvment is great too! The discipline is good too. You can go to the school at any time of the day and you will not see kids hanging out the halls or roaming in the halls like some schools in the area! The parents are very involved as well.

I just recently graduated from Riverside, and I believe that the faculty has more than prepared me for college. I am doing excellent in college now because of them. However, they deserve more for the work they put in. Riverside is a good school and I would definately recommend the school to someone looking for and equal athletic and education base school.

I think that Riverside Academy is an excellent school, the administration is very well rounded. The cafeteria has the best food around, the spirit and pride that the children have there is unbeleiveable. I would have to say that since they have added Dr. Perkins as the Asst Principal and Ms. Trish Bordelon as the Business Manager at the school things are finally starting to shape up. I would recommend the school to any family that is looking for academic learning , sports, and fun. They also have Grandparents day for every grade. The Pep rallies are wonderful. The new Band Director that has started this year is the absolute best, he has made the RA Band sound great !!!! Come join the RA Family, we did !

Riverside Academy's elementary program is top notch. It doesn't matter what teacher you get, they are all professional, educated, easy going, and eager to help your child succeed. They are more than willing to discuss any concerns you have with your child and help to remediate any problems. The hallways of the building are lined with colorful displays of the student's work along with other inspiring messages. They have a wonderful principal who is very personable and a great educator. All teachers work together--like a finely tuned machine

Riverside i a great school. Sure, it has it's share of problems but, what school doesn't. The board members are easy to talk to. The tution is not the cheapest. But, it is priced the cheapest of other schools in the area. RA does a great job at keeping the tution down. If you have not done so already, Go check it out.

Riverside is going downhill bigtime! The school depended alot on St. James Parish students, when the local high school in that parish became a high ranked school district, Riverside lost a lot. The school is based on Athletics! The tuition is incredibly expensive, because less and less people are attending the school. St. John has a failing public school district, which is undertandable why Riverside remains. But don't go out of your way to send your kid there. trust me!

I love Riverside, so many people had something to say about me putting my kids there, but the it was the best decision my husband and I have made yet. It has a great academic program, as well as athletics for all ages. Keep up the great work RA!

I am a new student, and I am very concerned about the academics. The academic department is appauling because the prinicble is naive and believes that everything is perfect. It's not, it is the athletics that runs the school, and the non-athletic people are the ones who get the downside.

My daughter has been attending this school for 5 years and loves it more every year. The principal Mrs. Duhe has brought so many great ideas to this school the last 2 years and has made the school even better. This school is becoming the premier private school to attend in the River Parish area. It only gets better each year!

My daughter transfer to Riverside during the second half of her Junior year. Administation, faculty and students welcomed her with open arms. The administration was very careful to make sure that her transfer credits were all in place for graduation and TOPS eligibility. Riverside is a small school that is very personable. I attended several of their Football Pep Rallies and truely felt that this is what it would be like to grow up in a small hometown. The academics have been very good. My daughter feels that she will be prepared for college in both English and Math. I would high recommend RIverside, especially for kids who thrive in smaller schools.

I am a parent of a Riverside Student...I have a son who graduated from Riverside. I personally think that Riverside is an athletic school and not oldest son was given grades so he could play football. This school is constantly changing principals. Mr. Heltz was the best and they couldnt keep him. Now Riverside is messed up..They are always raising tuition and now they are giving you options on how to pay your tuition, i guess thats because of the so called wonderful prinicipal they have now. Riverside is a very unorganized school. My child will not attend this school next year.

Due to hurricane Katrina both my 4th grader and 9 grader became displaced students. After sourcing several schools, I felt as if we found a home away from home at Riverside Academy. The academic programs far exceed some of those at the blue ribbon schools. In six weeks my children have blossomed. My 9th grader has made the choice not to return to his former High School. My 4th grader has told me she found a home with lots of nice children. They have so many extracurricular activities. The staff and teachers really motivate the children. I am so pleased with the quality of the education my children are receiving.

I'm not a parent but I attended Riverside for my four years of high school and I think that it is one of the greatest schools in Louisiana. I went to Riverside from the St. James Parish public school system and I was finally challenged to learn. I found out early on that Riverside is one huge family, which accepted me from day one. I've made lasting friendships there and I continue to show my support whenever I get the chance. My thirteen-year-old brother also attends Riverside and he shares my feelings as well. The education far exceeded anything that we had seen in public school and now being a college sophomore, I know that Riverside prepared me for my road ahead. The extracurricular activities are also great and teach you leadership and team work while allowing you to have fun in the process. I would recommend Riverside to everyone!

My children have been at Riverside since Pre-K3 and are now in 2nd & Kindergarten. The education program is very strick to give you child the top education they deserve. My children love the teachers and the atmosphere and the smaller teacher to student ratio is a great success. Thank you to the Riverside Family for all the support and interest you take in my family.

My son transferred from a popular private school in Jefferson Parish to Riverside for 8th grade. He did not know anyone in the school. After his first week he has many friends. I applaud the students that have been so freindly and accepted the 'new kid'. Good, over all student body here. After his first week, my son said Riverside's teachers and administration seemed 'well organized and structured'. The grounds and buildings are in new or like new condition. This is a much improved learning atmosphere in comparison to his previous school. For an honor student that loves sports, it appears we've made a very good choice for our son's education.

My son has attended Riverside Academy since kindergarten and graduated with this years senior class. We are highly impressed with the college prep. curriculum and life skills that were provided by the school. The teachers and administration have done an excellent job in preparing him for the next level. Not only the course work but the extra curricular activities like Band, Student Council, sports, Beta Club, Spanish Club, Math Club etc. have given him an all around advantage going into college. Small class size and dedicated teachers make Riverside the premier school to send your kids.

My Daughter loves Riverside Academy. She is in 1st grade and has done very well both years she has attended. She has a small class and I feel that the teacher can give the individual attention to the students that they need. Her teacher is very experienced and does a wonderful job with the students. There are plenty of school activities for the students to participate in if they choose. My child loves her school and all of her classmates. I feel very confident in the education, discipline and activities offered to the children here that will allow my daughter to become a secure, well-educated child through high school. I love that it goes through high school too. I hear horror stories about overcrowding from other private schools - some of these children have transferred to Riverside because of the small class size.

My child is currently in kindergarten at Riverside Academy. We choose this school because we felt like our son would get an excellent education there. Riverside is small enough that everyone knows everyone and that really gives a sense of security. The teachers are wonderful and go out of their way to give individual attention to each student. I would highly recommend Riverside to anyone.
