Walker High School

I attended this school from 1987-1991 and I recieved a great education and since I graduated this school has grown and became better. I recommend Walker High School to any parent.

My child attends WHS and I myself am a local teacher. Walker has extraordinary care towards the students. Most departments are eager to teach the students not only what is important by the state tests, but what is extremely useful to everyday life. I have seen Walker educate and prepare students for the future, as well as giving respect and discipline for real world situations.

I have been to many schools in my life but Walker High has been my favorite. The teachers are great in the fact that they aren't just there for the money. They are her to equip us with the skills we need to go out on our own in the real world. Thanks Walker for an awesome Freshman and Sophmore year. Hope to be two more.

I cannot say enough to express how good westside and now walker high school is and what a positive effect the staff has had on my son. His self esteem is higher and his grades accelerated since he started school in walker last year. The staff is strict, but entirely fair and my son actually went from hating(his words) school to loving school and wanting to learn. Awesome school and remarkable staff. Thank god for schools that still care about our children like this.

I think that this school is great and really focused on teaching the kids to be long-life learners.
