Farrington is an amazing school with absolutely wonderful teachers! My son has done so well from day one...we have never had a complaint. When my son did have an issue the principal took extra messures to make sure my son felt comfortable. They go above and beyond what anyone could possibly expect from them.

In the midst of difficult contract negotiations for teachers who have been underappreciated in this district, the current principal has done an amazing job of maintaining morale among the teachers at Farrington. They are great educators by themselves, but even more so because they have great leadership and support by the principal.

I never thought I would say this about Farrington but I have become increasingly disappointed in how the schools atmoshpere has become. Administration has become over involved trying to dictate children's choices in clothes, food, and experiences. They have enforced food regulations that are ridiculous (no packaged foods, granola bars, cereal bars etc.) There are also so many behavior issues now that the average or above average child is getting lost in the shuffle while teachers and admin. deal with the 'below average' or trouble children. There are twice as many 'rules' as there were two years ago but some how they now have twice as many behavior issues. Maybe to many rules=more behavior problems. There are relatively no extracurricular activities, sports programs are non existent in the school program. On a positive note, 95% of the teachers at Farrington are amazing and dedicated individuals. They are maintaining the school.
