carrabasset Valley academy has a great concept, the idea of school half the day and sport the other half. They just need to get the bullying under control. This unfortunately comes from the students whose parents work for the school. I unfortunaely have to agree with the level of nepotism. before you spend 40,000 on a great concept go and speak to parents who have left the school and get an unbiased opinion of what really goes on there.

CVA seemed to have a great program for students passionate about skiing and snowboarding, while having an ethical approach. The coach at the time for our child was an excellent model and teacher. However, the bullying was intense and the policies and equity at the administrative level were lacking. The special assistance academic program was also lacking in quality.

Great snow sports program! CVA also has a few great teachers with lots of Integrity. If the level of nepotism at the school was corrected the overall student experience would be enhanced significantly. Looking back on our child's high school experience at CVA I would asked to talk to parents of students with no school affiliation to get unbiased feel for the CVA experience ahead.

CVA has been the single most important element of my education to date. Whether I was left pondering the direction of a class discussion, or writing essays down by the river, I was always developing a sense of self, purpose and community. The best school that I know of. Intellectually challenging and athletically brutal.
