I think Willard school gives a bit too much homework. 5th graders get approximately seven pages of homework each night, fourth graders get at least two which is fine, but I think they give their fifth graders too much.
The teachers here communicate with students to work on their behavior and learning goals and don't let their students say "I give up!" or "This is too hard!" They develop caring in their students 100%, Students put a lot of effort into their work and the teachers help a lot.
This school prevents bullying - that's what I like the best. :-) They pick out recess refferees to make sure games run smoothly, and the teachers are like detectives for bullying. They especially encourage honesty in their students.
Willard school is the best school I've been to. They have a school store up run by mrs. Wagenfelds class and it's like a real job. You can buy school supplies throughout the year. Some of the fifth graders visited the trafton center and donated pumpkins for Halloween . They had pink day during October for breast cancer awareness month. Everyone is so nice and bully free. They even pick good students to make sure there's no bullying on the playground . The fifth graders are really good role models for the younger kids. Every field trip is always educational and everyone learns something.
I think the teachers do a great job working with our children. There are many dedicated teachers who even give up their free time to assist with the Kid's Club program. Kid's Club has been a blessing for my two children. Thank you Willard teachers!
