An awesome school with a great staff and smart and dedicated teachers.
Woodland School is probably one of the best elementary schools in the area. The student/teacher number ratio is low; which means students are given more personal instruction time and do not fall through the cracks so easily. When it comes to National and Standardized testing and homework the schools expectations are high; which means the students are held to a high standard. These high expectations are easily measured when these same students are tuitioned to a local high school grades 9-12 and these kids consisently make honor roll and score top 20 out of their classes for GPA's! Not to mention their involvement in the school, we boast class presidents, student council members, all starting with their Freshman year and continuing throught the 4 years!
I am a former student of Woodland, and all I can say is that it is the best school that I have ever gone to or plan too! Everyone knows eachother and the teachers care on how the children are doing! It is one of the best elementary schools in Maine!
