When I first came to poly I was already an intelligent person but I wasn't very organized and know I am. Poly also shwed me the many different types of people in the world and it is showing me so much about everything dealing with life.

My son currently attends Poly and is receiving a high quality education. He is challenged and continues to excel. The teachers and administration are committed to every childs sucess. Our test scores are very impressive and the course selection is rigorous.

This is a great college preparatory school. To be a public school in Baltimore City, Poly flies higher than all other schools in it's district. I found that my child was challenged by the curriculum and as a college student, she flew through. Also, compared to the city's diversity, Poly is a melting pot. It is an excellent environment for a young adult.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Maryland used the Maryland High School Assessments (HSA) to test students in English 2, Algebra, and Biology upon completion of each course. The HSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. Students are required to pass the tests in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
