The teachers here are amazing and really want to see us do well. it is a good school with teachers that know what they are are doing. The avid program is really good, and we go on college tours around the area. There are hall moniters constantly watching the students to make sure everything is in order. the youth in gov't prgram (that was introduced at VTTMAA this yr) is awesome and students should strive to join it. it is ran by 2 awesome teachers. There are also programs such as allied health, surgical tech, pharmacy tech and EMT with simulation labs, and you choose at the end of your freshman year. I recomend this school if you are serious about doing something in the med field.

I definitely like VTTMAA and would encourage students from our district to attend, the only issue is that we don't have but deserve an entrance requirement.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland High School Assessments (HSA) to test students in English 2, Algebra, and Biology upon completion of each course. The HSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. Beginning with the class of 2009, students are required to pass the tests in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
