The new principal is AMAZING and has already made so many great changes. The school has top notch academic programs (Ingenuity and Advanced Academics), as well as a new gifted and talented program for the elementary school. But it is also an Arts Integration school, with a new focus on providing music and art instruction that will make kids competitive for BSA.
this school is a very great school. the teachers there are pheonomanal when they teach. this school is wonderful
I actually like my school. I am a student in the Ingenuity Project. Some students may disagree with me but I actually like rules. Schools without any rules are chaotic. Also, I feel as though we receive a good education. The teachers try their best to provide a good education to us. In addition, my teachers appear to enjoy their job and teaching us. I give Mt. Royal an enormous thumbs up. ---Submitted by a student
My school is great I love it. When you really get to know the students they are really great!!!!:-)
My oldest children started Mt royal in the 5th and 6 grade and had problems keeping up with the work but the school provided them the help they needed and the both became very good students my last child started at mt royal from k-grade and left in the 8th to attend poly I thank mt royal for that I didn't agree with every teacher or staff but they gave all my kids the tools they needed to be great students. I plan to send my grandkids to mt royal
BEWARE OF MS SCARINGI I WENT THERE AND I HATE IT THE MEAN GIRLS AND MR CORRBIT IS TO HARSH GE JUST GO INTO A CLASS ROOM AND POINTS YOU OUT FOR DETENT OR SESPENTION AND HE DONT KNOW THE STORIES THE SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE DONT BRING UR KIDS U GET MADE FUN OF CONSTINLY
This school is awful. Do not send your child to this school even for the advanced programs. Only a few teachers like the children and the rest just come for paychecks. The principal spends all day hiding in her office including when a fight is taking place on the playground after school. If this is your zoned school ask for a transfer.
I was the class of 2010 and i personally give the school more thumbs down than the amount of thumbs if each person in the world put their thumb down. This school was unorganized and dirty. only reason i give it 2 stars is because they had some good teachers. In my opinion those selected few of teacher could do way better than Mt.Royal.
the quality of this school has decreased over the last three years. i am disappointed at the steff especially the first grade teachers. they don't have any patience with the children. the behavior of some students are out of control. they are quick to suspend but don't provide the help the child really need.
even though i dont enjoy how the school does things, i have to admit its accually ok. the teachers are nice and the school is strict.
As a former student , class of 08 i give this school a tumbs down they dont put education first they worrry about behavior & other irrelevant things ! i would never reccomend this school , first & foremost the administrators are rude 7 mean , such as mrs.Glascoe , Mrs.Byers, Officer Coarse , etc . . yeah all of them .
This is a excellent School my child gets extra help, attention, and enjoy going to school. the school has very high standards . I really enjoy my daughter going here! The students do their work quietly and i really love the schools staff!
My child was a student at Mt. Royal for 1 year. She entered as an ingenuity student. I was extremely irritated by the attitude if the administrators. They were rude and downright cold. The learning environment could have been more effective if the teachers were more experienced and if the daily class disruptions could have been eliminated. I would suggest any potential parent to make a surprise visit to the school and you will see what I mean. Thank God for private schools!
My two children started Mt. Royal this school year 2009/2010. I am so far pleased with their learning experience. I like the school, but some of the rules is ridiculious. For example ( tights), why does it matter what kind of tights a child have on as long as they are neat and clean with their uniform. That's the only problem I have but other than that I like Mt Royal, and I wish my kids had been attended this school. Although they were doing great in other schools. I also like that they are strict in some other ways. These schools need rules, and these kids today!!!
this school is so graet i love the way we can were our uniforms iam a current student at mountroyal elem.midddlescool in ms.simosen 6grade class i am in advance academics
i would say the rating for this particular school would be a five star school i say this because they do an excellent job teaching and does a great jod at working with students to build new learning skills
The school's overall learning enviroment is good but I would have to agree with a earlier review that the adminstation can seem to have a don't care attitude about the students.
the school is so strict, dont send your kids their.one thing they do have a good counselor,ms.davis.
teachers are great most times but the administration can be hasty at times and come off as arrogant or they seem as though they don't care for child
The school environment is good but like all schools there is still room for improvement. Most of the other teaching staff is supportive of each other and the students learning but at the same time, those at the middle school level are dealing with classes that are too large. There are some parents that expect too much out of the teachers and with the large class sizes, the teachers have a hard time meeting those parents' expectations.
