My granddaughter attends this school and she loves it...She is third grade next school term and loved her second grade teachers. They made math easier for her especially division and multiplication. Thanks for a job well done Violetville by selecting a good team of teachers.
Violetville has a large number of teachers that go the extra distance for their students, whether challenging them in extra curricular activities and projects or taking special interest in students that need help in the classroom. The new building is just a bonus!

My child has attend Violetville Elementry/Middle since kg through 8 th grade. I have had no major problems with the the school or its staff. My daughter is a good student. She has good grades. I think students who have had problems at school stem from some parents not teaching their children to have respect for adults or fellow school mates. Parents these days a quick to blame everyone else for their child's behavior. Teachers do the best they can to teach our children. If we don't assist them when our childr are having problems it is our failure as parents.

I am a student at Violetville , i have been there since 1st grade and i have saw and had nothing but excellent teachers.
What prompted my decision to enroll my son in Violetville was Initially, my son hated school and appeared to be very stressed when he came home in the afternoons from his former private school. My son began at Violetville this school year in grade K. I had heard so much about this school that It sadened me that I did not enroll him prior to him starting second quarter. The Principal is very friendly and was able to answer alof of my questions being a concerned parent transitioning my child during the middle of the school year. I felt comfortable and safe within the school enviornment. Teachers were involved and connected to the students, and students were engaged in the lessions that were being taught. The behavior guidlines are strick, yet fair. Especially, for the younger kids. My son now has a clear understadning of what it means for the teacher to rate his behavior for the day. Both the teachers and classroom aids I have found to communicate well in this area. I really enjoy the Communication and Attention that my son recieves, but most of all he is having fun Learning. He loves his new school and so do I. Mrs. Mislak and Ms. Dorsey you ROCK!!! ~Proud Mom

My granddaughter Autumn is a gifted child. The school offers support and encouragement to her abilities, in addition to concern for her needs.

I have several children that attend Violetville and I have had many problems since they enrolled last year. My children have been tormented by students and teachers alike and the lack of concern for every childs safety seems to be a big problem. I do not feel that my children are being taught anything that is not ona a standerdized test and it seems that the main goal is to get the children in and out of the school with as little effort as possible. I am removing two of my children from the school in the fall and am still looking for schools to place my other children. In short I am less than satisfied with the Violetville school.

I love Violetville Elementary Middle School. The school reminds me of the kinds of neighborhood schools that existed when I was young. I have been the Community School Coordinator at Violetville for almost a year and I am so happy to be there. the families, staff and leadership are caringm hardworking and genuine. If I had one desire for the school, it would be that middle school parents would be more involved in the school. I can understand that all parents can make every meeting, but as parents too often we make the mistake of believing that the older our children become, the less we need to be involved. They actually need us even more, just ina different way.
My daughter has been at Violetville for two years now and at first I did not like the school. But this year I joined the PTA and had the pleasure of getting to know the teachers and principles. I think more parents need to join the PTA and get more involved in the school where their child/children go to school. Violetville is a good school and it can be better if more parents would get more involved. How to do that is to join the PTA or other committees in the school.

My daughter has attended Violetville for 4 years and will be attending Western next year. I have had nothing but trouble with this school since the first day. The teachers for the most part don't care whether the students learn or not as long as they are not disrupting class. The principal and asst. Principal are the worst I've ever seen. They ignore parents concerns and requests. There is no set rules of discipline. It seems to me that state test scores have taken the place of teaching and caring about the children. I will be extremely relieved to have my daughter away from that school next year.

My child has attended violetville since kindergarten. I have enjoyed the staff and the students were no problem. My child is now approaching the 6th grade and I am looking to put her in private school because the middle school is located behind the school in portables and I don't feel that the evnironment is motivating enough.
