The principal at Sussex does not have the leadership skills necessary to make sure the needs of all students are met. A few of the teachers who work there are wonderful, but others are very negative and just go through the motions of the day instead of truly trying to make a difference in the lives of children in the classroom. On a positive note, the children do have access to a great deal of current technology, but overall I would not recommend this school to anyone.

This is a wonderful school. Lots of new tech equipment for our school students. I think you need to look at this school again.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
