We have had nothing but great experiences at Prospect Mill. Phenomenal teachers and both of my kids are challenged, engaged and love going to school every day.
My child went there for one year. We witenssed completely incompetent and unqualified teachers who knew nothing about 5 year olds nor education. It was awful both for us and our child. She also learned about sex on the playground, yes in kindergarten. Requested to be moved to another teacher's class, the year improved but not enough to make us stay. Terrible.
have to agree w/the former comment about depends on what teacher your child gets. We have entered our fourth year at PMES and our teachers have been hit or miss. The principal and the PTA are excellent!
The school is fine, but it all depends on what teacher the student gets for the year. The new gym should be a great addition and the new library is fantastic. There is a great PTA and lots of parent participation. The principal is always willing to meet with you if need be and help out if necessary.
All three of my kids went to PMES, almost all the way through til we relocated. The staff and administration was EXCELLENT, and the special needs dept was second to none. I did not feel comfortable moving on to SMS, or CMW for that matter, hence the move but Prospect Mill, we loved.
The school is great...lots of exciting stuff happening .
Prospect Mill has great academic programs, including a full time enrichment teacher for kids who are performing above grade level. My daughter loves their art and music programs, and has also participated in after school sports. Parental involvement is extremely high, and the teachers are great.
