i give this school 4 and A HALF STARS because my daughter loves this school great teachers and the friendlyness
i learn alot in it i am in six grade and i think it is greatit is easy and all my teachers are great
I have 2 children in BMS and think it is a wonderful school. The staff is helpful when you ask, as far as education and saftey I have no complaints over all it is a grate school and community
BMS is a great school that is feeling the pressures of tremendous population growth and change. Extracurricular programs are abundant--band, orchestra, clubs, intramural sports for anyone, organized team sports, junior honor society, etc. Special programs are in place to meet special needs, both academic and life skills. A small army of volunteers assist in many avenues, often behind the scenes. Parental gossip sometimes runs askew and ugly. The ptsa, administration, and staff are ready to familarize the community with the school. Contact with administration is easy via emails or by phone. The homework hotline is not perfect. Our new principal is very visible from morning arrival to dances to other events. The open-classroom structure of the school makes for a louder than ideal environment. None of the teachers are perfect, but life lessons can be learned even from occasional struggles. The 'no child left behind' policy has hindered spontanety and class
i am currently an 8th grader at Boonsboro Middle School and i like the school but i also have a little worries about our learning enviorment and safety at the school. As for the learning enviorment i think that they should have more things to reach out to kids as to what things these kids are intrested these days such as sports and music and things like that
I am a 8th grader a Boonsboro Middle school now, and I have to say, 8th Grade has been my best year so far. Not knowing what other schools are like compared to mine, I rate my school a 9 out of 10 for great safety, education, pride teachings, and overall happiness. The only thing I do not like about my school is that we are not trusted as much by the prinicipals. They do not let us listen to our iPods at lunch like we did last year (we had a different principal) and that nothing exciting ever really happens. But if you're coming to BMS for education, you've chosen a good school.
I'm a student at BMS and I personally have never had a problem with the school. I've made many new friends since 6th grade and now in 8th grade, I still love it. I feel confident about high school and my parents seem to think its a good place too!
I was a student at bms and i found it a great school. While it was not perfect, what school is? As for the learning environment and curriculum, I thought the teachers where helpful, and that the learning process was in general pleasant. As for fca, no one has to join it, it is simply a before school club. It is overall, a wonderful school with wonderful teachers.
In my experience, I received almost no communiation from the schools except for one marking period. My daughter graduated in June, and maintains that it was the worst environment she has ever been in. The general attitude of the staff was uncaring. At least 90 percent of the staff were not very nice people, and I would not care to meet them again. I was incredibly disappointed in the overall quality of this school and strongly advise anyone considering sending their child here to reconsider at once. Thank you.
BMS is a wonderful place for your child to receive a good education. There are issues in the community (hate and bias) that obviously carry into the school house - but the issues are not tolerated in school. That message has been made clear to everyone. Let's not judge the school on issues that the community must deal with. The truth is, Boonsboro and surrounding areas are not diverse and the growth in housing is changing that. We need to teach our children how to accept others that are of different skin tone, religion, etc. This is a family issue to be addressed, not a school issue. BMS has provided all of my children with a top notch education.
