I am delighted she attends this school. They are attentive, they are alert to issues, and they care about the children. I believe their academics are far ahead of other Christian schools I am familiar with and they challenge. I love the Bible teaching and the children's participation. They offer extracirricular activities that are suitable for all ages.

We have three children who have attended ECA for twelve years. We truly love it's many caring teachers and consider it an extremely safe atmosphere for our children. One thing any prospective family should know is that the school is NOT accredited by the Academy of Christian Schools. Administration and staff continue to delay the date of that completion for over seven years. Although this isn't entirely relevant to our level of satisfaction, it causes us to often re-evaluate the quality of the education we are getting. When our oldest child (Honor student) transfered to Elkton High School, many of the credits from ECA did not transfer. She needed to complete countless exams and extra classes and has spent over a year in classes and still not caught up to her grade level. We have invested over 100K in private school education at ECA and all three of our children are college bound. My review is not meant in any way to defame the truly loving staff and some excellent teachers, but, to encourage parents to ask questions, and hold the staff at ECA accountable for more than just the student's spiritual needs.

Our children have attended ECA for 8 years and we have seen many changes and additions of several professionally qualified staff members who emphasize and exemplify a Christ centered education and life. Coming from Tome School, we were most refreshed with ECA's intolerance for fiscal statusing of students. From the wealthy to the humble..all children are rightfully treated with equal respect and love. Academically speaking, we were also satisfied with most of the educators' willingness to cater to each of our three students' respective needs. All teachers were responsive to any of my concerns and most sought to resolve situations with a positive outcome. School security is primo. Student to teacher ratio is ideal and overall environment is one that emphasizes love and nurturing of the student . If you are looking for a true Christian School with a solid Bible based education at a reasonable price, seriously consider ECA.

I have 2 children enrolled at ECA - we have been very pleased with the school! The teachers we've had have truly cared about the children in their classes and you can tell how much they love teaching. My kids have been challenged by the school work and have excelled. The new administration is making many positive changes for the future of the school.

This school is terrible. The first day i brought my kids there, i saw a guy wearing a slip-knot tshirt. Very low standards. Huge classrooms! over priced!

What wonderful things God is doing at ELkton Christian Academy. I have a child with some special needs. ECA has whole-heartedly wrapped their collective arms around her and gone out of their way to see that she feels safe and succeeds. I have observed the older (high school) kids with the younger ones and they are exceptional role models. I am proud to be part of this school. It saddens me to read the posts from years ago. The school, kids, teachers, and administration deserve so much better than that.

What impresses me about ECA is the continuing desire to better the school. I've had children at ECA for many years and have seen those criticize changes when in truth, the school has more of a spiritual emphasis than it ever did. The students are more involved in service and worship because the teacher's desire is to help the 'inside' of a child and let the 'outside' take care of itself. We no longer have a school that just 'looks the part.' It is sad that people get disgruntled about things that they don't even have all the facts about and don't see God's presence on campus. I, along with many, love what God is doing at the school. Academically ECA has made huge strides and offers more for each student than it has in the history of the school.

This school is like home. There are opportunities for my kids to succeed and they are safe. Not to mention the fact that some of their friends have gone on to great colleges. I highly recommend this school. It is a great alternative to the areas public schools.

Great school that has taught my son Chris, a lot of stuff I could hardly ever taught him. He was home schooled for K-5th. when he went to ECA , he came home with A's. I was stunded.

I was a student at ECA for almost my entire life. I graduated in 2006 when the school began to 'decline'. Don't get me wrong, the teachers are absolutely wonderful, knowledgable and caring all the way from kindergarten to high school but the principle(s) of the school seem to be more concerned about money and looking good and establishing a name for the school than leading kids in the right direction. Elkton Christian is a wonderful school. You won't find a better education or more caring teachers anywhere on earth but it seems to me that the principle doesnt enforce what God wants but rather what she thinks is best. Also the school does not stress the importance of God and Christian values enough. However teachers are always willing to help students one on one.
