Three of our boys are/have been in TSCA , the eldest of the three graduated this past May . The younger two are in elementary school. Overall we have been very pleased with our experience here. The teaching quality generally has been excellent with a well rounded , caring teaching staff. Godly character is certainly taught ,encouraged and rewarded here. I believe all teaching staff are practicing Christians though not all students are. The love these teachers have for their kids is evident in each interaction. These people are real. The administration is excellent. Most days my little guys come home excited to share something new they learned in school that day. GRACE is the word. No school is perfect. Thank You TSCA.

My two sons are new to the school and finished their first year. This year I am enrolling my third son. Tristate has very good academics, great sports, excellent Christian role models, and challenging, yet loving teachers. The office staff is kind. They have many extracurricular activities. The administration is excellent. Very thankful for this academy.

I am delighted she attends this school. They are attentive, they are alert to issues, and they care about the children. I believe their academics are far ahead of other Christian schools I am familiar with and they challenge. I love the Bible teaching and the children's participation. They offer extracirricular activities that are suitable for all ages.

We have three children who have attended ECA for twelve years. We truly love it's many caring teachers and consider it an extremely safe atmosphere for our children. One thing any prospective family should know is that the school is NOT accredited by the Academy of Christian Schools. Administration and staff continue to delay the date of that completion for over seven years. Although this isn't entirely relevant to our level of satisfaction, it causes us to often re-evaluate the quality of the education we are getting. When our oldest child (Honor student) transfered to Elkton High School, many of the credits from ECA did not transfer. She needed to complete countless exams and extra classes and has spent over a year in classes and still not caught up to her grade level. We have invested over 100K in private school education at ECA and all three of our children are college bound. My review is not meant in any way to defame the truly loving staff and some excellent teachers, but, to encourage parents to ask questions, and hold the staff at ECA accountable for more than just the student's spiritual needs.

Our children have attended ECA for 8 years and we have seen many changes and additions of several professionally qualified staff members who emphasize and exemplify a Christ centered education and life. Coming from Tome School, we were most refreshed with ECA's intolerance for fiscal statusing of students. From the wealthy to the humble..all children are rightfully treated with equal respect and love. Academically speaking, we were also satisfied with most of the educators' willingness to cater to each of our three students' respective needs. All teachers were responsive to any of my concerns and most sought to resolve situations with a positive outcome. School security is primo. Student to teacher ratio is ideal and overall environment is one that emphasizes love and nurturing of the student . If you are looking for a true Christian School with a solid Bible based education at a reasonable price, seriously consider ECA.

I have 2 children enrolled at ECA - we have been very pleased with the school! The teachers we've had have truly cared about the children in their classes and you can tell how much they love teaching. My kids have been challenged by the school work and have excelled. The new administration is making many positive changes for the future of the school.

This school is terrible. The first day i brought my kids there, i saw a guy wearing a slip-knot tshirt. Very low standards. Huge classrooms! over priced!

What wonderful things God is doing at ELkton Christian Academy. I have a child with some special needs. ECA has whole-heartedly wrapped their collective arms around her and gone out of their way to see that she feels safe and succeeds. I have observed the older (high school) kids with the younger ones and they are exceptional role models. I am proud to be part of this school. It saddens me to read the posts from years ago. The school, kids, teachers, and administration deserve so much better than that.

What impresses me about ECA is the continuing desire to better the school. I've had children at ECA for many years and have seen those criticize changes when in truth, the school has more of a spiritual emphasis than it ever did. The students are more involved in service and worship because the teacher's desire is to help the 'inside' of a child and let the 'outside' take care of itself. We no longer have a school that just 'looks the part.' It is sad that people get disgruntled about things that they don't even have all the facts about and don't see God's presence on campus. I, along with many, love what God is doing at the school. Academically ECA has made huge strides and offers more for each student than it has in the history of the school.

This school is like home. There are opportunities for my kids to succeed and they are safe. Not to mention the fact that some of their friends have gone on to great colleges. I highly recommend this school. It is a great alternative to the areas public schools.

I was a student at ECA for almost my entire life. I graduated in 2006 when the school began to 'decline'. Don't get me wrong, the teachers are absolutely wonderful, knowledgable and caring all the way from kindergarten to high school but the principle(s) of the school seem to be more concerned about money and looking good and establishing a name for the school than leading kids in the right direction. Elkton Christian is a wonderful school. You won't find a better education or more caring teachers anywhere on earth but it seems to me that the principle doesnt enforce what God wants but rather what she thinks is best. Also the school does not stress the importance of God and Christian values enough. However teachers are always willing to help students one on one.

Favoritism is obvious. It seems individuality is not encouraged.

Years ago this was a great school with Christian values and morals. I have been involved with this school since I was five years old I have watched the horrific changes come. Now with new administration you have to be in the click or give money in every direction beyond tuition to make sure your student is treated fairly. Discipline is not handed down fairly it just really depends on who you are. Your child will not be judged because of what someone may say or think about him and sure to goodness will not have disrespect from authority figures. In short think of other means for private school .I think Private School is great just not this one.

There are many positive aspects of ECA but I do believe that in the past few years the Christian values have taken a back seat to more worldly pursuits.

I was estremely disapointed with this so called christian school. years ago they had standards, now it is nothing but a glorified public school. do not waste your money if you want to give your kids a real christian education

My son attended here. I feel that most of the teachers are very dedicated and do a great job. They are overworked and underpaid. The adminstration does not support the staff enough which has lead to some burnt out teachers. When I first observed this school there seemed to be a strong Christian ethic. In our last year there seemed to not be as much of a CHristian emphasis. In my opinion, sports had become number one at the expense of Bible and Art and Music. The school has potential but only if the adminstration gets their priorities in order.

Save your money. Public schools provide much more interaction, support, and assistance for the students. It was disheartening to see my son so unhappy and his grades reflecting that. I feel that I have wasted so much money on what should of been a great education and now my son does not even have that.

After suffering profound personal tragedy, my nephew continued to attend ECA. The faculty has gone above and beyond their responsibilities to make his life more 'normal' again. Thank you so much.

We have two children attending ECA, we have found this school to offer quality education at a reasonalbe cost. The staff are very professional and caring. The school provides a wonderful array of extra-curricular activities.(drama, band, sports and field trips) They also require the young people in the middle and high school to have Christian service hours. We believe this school is an outstanding choice if you are looking for a school in this area.

As parents of two children attending ECA, we have been very impressed with the quality of education that they have been receiving. The professional staff provide a caring and loving environment. Having been involved in another Christian school for many years, ECA cares for the needs of the whole child.(physical, emotional and spiritual) The students are able to be involved in many extra-curricular activities such as sports, drama and Christian service opportunities. We wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone looking for a quality education for their children living in Cecil, Harford, or New Castle counties, or who may be moving into those areas.

These are exciting times at Elkton Christian. As a parent for the past 10 years, I am more than pleased to see the direction ECA is going. We are one big family. The administration continues to improve on the academic program which has led to higher SAT scores in all grade levels. The athletic program offers much excitement for our student Crusaders. Crusader football has definately added a boost to our school spirit. My child has had an abundance of opportunities as she has been involved in cheerleading, basketball, honor society, drama, journalism, leadership conferences, honor societies, and so much more. The teachers have played such a positive role as they teach in the spirit of God's love! My children are taught in a controlled, pleasant, and calm atmosphere. I highly recommend that anyone considering our school should let their child visit for a day - guaranteed to LOVE it!

MY child is attending this school and it was the worst choice ever ,The math teacher can't teach, you are told to get another student to help you.(I'm paying for an adult to teach),The Principal for the high school does not teach bibical morals. The senior class trip is to take the class on a cruise to the bahamas for 9 days at a cost of 1500.00 per kid.save your money and stay away from this school.
