Fhs in an excellent school. as a current student of fhs i can say that the experience of this school is great. Fhs has a ton of classes ranging from special ed scalles to ap and they have a wide range of ap classes available. if a student needs help they just have to ask the teacher and the teacher will gladly do whatever it takes to help the student. this school also has a great guidence dept. this is an all around great school.
As a parent of two students who have been at the Fallston H.S. I feel that both of my children have received and are still receiving an excellent education from Fallston. My son is now in college and when asked if he felt that Fallston provided him a good foundation for college he gave it a resounding YES. My daughter is only a freshmen but I feel that she is finding high school challenging yet not overwhelming. I am very pleased with the decision to have my children attend Fallston H.S.
Great school, and the principal is top-rate. Mediocre ratings from other parents complaining about cliquishness of kids and parents is inexplicable. My kids came from another school system prior to Fallston High and you know what? Both my kids and I got involved in the life of the school and we were 'in'. Get involved and you will thrive and find your place here; both students and parents. This is a 'doing' school, not a 'where's mine' school. Involved parents with high expectations. Result is a quality result; academics and athletics.
I am currently a student at FHS and I love it. The teachers are nice and are willing to spend extra time with the students to help them succeed. The administration is good (especially the new principle) and how the school is run. There are some 'groups' of students that aren't that nice but most of the other students are fine and there are hardly any problems and if there are any, they are dealt with appropriately.
Overall Fallston is a very good school and a great place for kids to grow and learn. There are opportunities for students who want to excell academically to take advanced courses. Most teachers develop positive, healthy relationships with students. Teachers are very positive about the school, the students and school activities. Teachers and administrators volunteer a great deal of personal time to make the school a better place. Like all schools there a a very few who probably wish they were doing something else, though this is a very small minority. The school offers many opportunites to participate in sports, music, drama, public service clubs and other extracurricular activites. Culturally, kids treat each other well and are accepting of each other. Fallston is a safe place for kids, both in school and at after-school activities. Moving to the Fallston school district was one of the best decisions our family has made.
Fallston High School provides and excellent experience for all students attending. Our new principal has improve the standards for education and creates an interface with the administration not seen before. For those parents complaining for lack of help for those students who fall behind, it is the students fault. All facualty are willing and able to aid the students. Your child is an idiot if he cannot make up missed work, and does not care to learn. Stop Complaining!
If your not from the area you're an outsider. This affects school and sports, very clichish. The good teachers don't seem to want to stay because of the politics.
I had one child go to Fallston high. If your child needs anything more than sports and AP courses, you are out of luck. If they need IEP services, you are really out of luck. I felt that I would have preferred being told to just let my child drop out of school and get his GED. When he finally did this, against my will, he passed easily and scored in the top 1% of all students to have ever taken it. He was such a happier person when he was free from Fallston High. My second child instead went to Calvert Hall. Not into sports or AP? Do not go here.
Good School, Kids seem to be happy as to be expected and facilities are clean and in good order.
I am a former student in this school. I would recommend this school for its acdemics-thats it! it is deffinatly a top notch education. This is a very clique school and it doesnt just stop with the kids, if you dont have a group then forget it. This is a private, public school.
