The teachers all take extreme interest in each individual student and they truly care about their progress. The entire school experience is a very tightknit community.
Grasonville is a place where students learn. The teachers and staff work hard to create an academic environment with a focus on positive behavior supports. I have been to other places and I have seen that no one else in the area can compete with the excellence that is present her at GES!
We have a great diversity of kids who cheer each other on and help each other out. Our staff is energetic and creative and willing to put in extra hours for our family nights and school activities. Our parents rock! They are always willing to help out at every event, regardless of the task. A happy school makes for happy kids..that's Grasonville Elementary!
Top of the notch...considering the area you would think this school would not be very good. This is so absolutely wrong. Best school in Maryland as far as I am concerned. I have two daughters currently enrolled and a son in the coming years. I couldn't ask for a better staff and especially principal. What principal do you know that send personalized cards with handwritten notes in the mail to the students on their birthdays and as far as I have seen she knows every kid's name as they walk by her in the hall... LOVE IT!
My son has needed some extra attention in his 1st year at Grasonville . They have been nothing but helpful , patient , and responsive to our needs . Principal very involved ,in class teachers excellent. I feel like they are looking out for my son even though he may drive them crazy !
I feel that this school needs another, new principal. I have not been happy with my dealings in this school at all. Response to classroom problems & individual students is always slow and passed off onto the parents.
