Mechanicsville Elementary School

I would not chose this school at all. We moved back to the area after being in the USAF for 10 year. Our son was on an IEP from his school in CA. They sent everything to MES and when we moved to our new house we transferred from MES to Dent. Well had a meeting with Dent the other day and said our son was behind. We asked about the IEP they said they never got it was MES and that MES lost his IEP. Very sad that a child that needs help has not been getting it because the school the lost paper work. The school in CA has record of it being sent to MES as well.

the 4th Grade teachers at mes are Higher then Excellent. All the teachers at this school are great!

I've been extremely impressed with the Principle, Teachers and Staff. They are fantastic!!

I have two children at this school K and 3rd I love it, There is a lot of support, education is high on everyone list, and safety is key. Keeping the kids safe and challenging their educational needs comes first. Iwill miss this school very much once we move on. Mrs. Abell is teriffic--as all the teachers. Test score in the state prove that this school has it all together

I have a daughter at Mechanicsville, She was in a private school I see a great deal of improvement with in her as a person and her learning skills. Ms. Abell is a great person and a great principal. She take time to be involved with the parents and the school. It is so nice to see someone in the school system, to take pride in her job and her school way to go. I have nothing but high remarks for this school

I have 2 kids in MES 4th grade and Kindergarden. I am very pleased with Mrs. Abell and all of what she has done for the school. I especially like my kids teachers Ms. Pistorio and Ms. Rogers. I feel they are doing an excellant job of teaching and helping my kids learn. within the past year I have really seen alot of improvements through out the school. There is atleast one thing I would change. Programs! Each year they are the same.
