That previous posting is sad to say the least. If you are going to post something like that, at least provide some details...some facts? I seriously doubt that was written by a parent, just someone trying to lower the rating of an excellent high school. I know many that have sent children there, and have gotten an excellent, well rounded education (and yes, they went on to college)

Obviously, the last posting individual never attended college. Rising Sun High School educators have one thing in common incompetence. I suspect most grew up in the corn fields of Cecil County, and not educated in well regarded Universities (perhaps Cecil County Community College?).

RSHS really works hard to prepare our kids for college

Best public high school in Cecil County. Two of my children have graduated from RSHS and I'm very satisfied with the education.

The music and theater departments of this school are excellent. There are plenty of opportunities for children to get involved! Also the sports programs are great!

I was actually a member of the 2001 graduatng class and I loved this school. I entered school my freshmen year a 'd' student and left Honor Roll. The teachers here showed so much compassion and a love for their job that you actually learned things without knowing it. I am hoping to send my children there when the time comes.

Im a student that just started goign to Rising Sun High School. I think that this school is one of the best schools I have gone to.I have alot more opitions, the teachers are great. They are willing to help a student out, willing to go out of their way for a student. It has been a big change from the old high school that I went to. That was a Delaware school. We didnt have teachers going out their way to help their students.Rising Sun seems just like a safe school and a great one at that. I feel really safe, more confident about myself. I know that I can do things and actually pass. My fellow students are really great to be around. Most of them carry themselves really well, and that what I like about most of my fellow peers.
