My child was in Ms. Major, Ms. Massey, and Ms. Reuter and she loved them. They showed her that they cared about her and her learning.

I am a parent and a teacher's asst. I loved the staff and the kids so much that I became apart of the staff. It feels like a family there and everyone is striving for excellence. The Principals are never in their office because they spend so much time with the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!

The entire family of educators at Church Lane are exceptional. My son will be entering the fifth grade this fall, 2008. I have been very satisfied with all the feed backh I have recieved over the years from his teachers. They have kept me informed about his progress as well as areas of concern. He has been apart of the Gifted and Talented Program since First Grade. I have been very satisfied with the program. Thanks to all you Gifted Teachers ,my child is in good hands for most of his awakening hours.

Primary focus at this school is discipline, not education. The children are not challenged, and the grading practices are not clear.

My son attended Church lane for 6 years (K through 5th), and this will be my daughter's eighth year there (1 year of day care and then pre-k through 5th!) I volunteered there almost every Friday when my kids were younger. The teachers are phenomenal! They keep positive attitudes and have seemingly endless amounts of energy. My hat is truly off to each of them. And the principal, Judy Devlin, is the heart and soul of the school. She knows every child by name and passes out hugs all day, every day. She genuinely loves each child. What a great place to learn and grow!

Church Lane is a very good school for students who have an interest in communications and overall learning. The teachers are very willing to help children succeed. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to succeed.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
