Cedarmere has become the highest performing school in the area surpassing even some of the Franklin's test scores. The school is very diverse with kids from all socioeconomic backgrounds, which gives the school even more credit for student achievement. Mr. Coco is a very nice principal, he is very dedicated and committed, and I like how he greets parents in the school parking lot in the morning. The atmosphere of the school is very cozy and friendly. 100 Book Challenge really helps with reading. A lot of parents are involved and participate in Scholastic Book Fair, recycling and weeknight activities. I also love the field trips kids take (Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Science Center, local farm, etc.). I would suggest parents save their money for middle and high school, and choose Cedarmere Elementary.

Kindergarten-so far so good. Seems to be gaining ground on supposedly the best elem. school in Reisterstown{Franklin} as far as test scores go--if you are into that sort of thing!

This school has exceeded our expectations. Our son is doing incredible here and can't wait for our daughter to start kindergarten. The staff is amazing as well as the families that attend this hidden gem in Reisterstown.

I am very happy with the quality of education my third grader has recieved at Cedarmere. Each teacher I have encountered from K-3 has been extremely qualified, devoted to helping children learn, as well as nurturing. The staff has high academic expectations for students during school hours. They also provided many positive opportunities for children after regular school hours. Some examples include: Hop for Hopkins fundraiser, Cedar Day, Fall Festival, Science Fair, Literacy Night, Math Night, just to name a few. Some unique events held during school hours include The First Day of School Celebration, Inauguration Celebration, Munchkins for Moms and Donuts for Dads. Cedarmere' s administrators are available and always ready to assist parents in any issues that may arise. Administrators appreciate and invite parent feedback to help them plan for the betterment of Cedarmere. Also, the building is clean and well maintained. Students are well behaved.

Natasha is my 3rd child educated by Cedarmere Elementary.I am please with the results. My oldest is now a nursing student at CCBC. This school puts emphasis on parent involvement in our children education and family activities such as bingo night, Fuddruckers fund raiser, and Cedar Day. The contribution from both the parents and the faculty is what makes the school a BIG success.

My child enjoys the school. It is very clean and professional. The lower grade teachers have been great, Especially Mrs. Wickham and Mrs. Mcclure A+ . The lunches are served hot every day,and they work with paying parents. Its always some type of program going on as well. I would highly reccomend this school.

A great smaller elementary school with wide student diversity, an active PTA, and a lot of long term faculty. Particularly excellent teachers in kindergarten and lower grades, but good throughout. School has a small town feel in a bustling area. School is one of few with a partnership with the Baltimore Symphony for cultural enrichment in the arts. Kids like the school, and parents do too. Building is clean and well cared for at all times.
