My daughter went to this school six years ago in the magnet program and now I have a son there in fourth grade also in the magnet program. This is a wonderful school! The teachers are great, the BEST in Wicomico and the Principle and Vice principle also can't be beat. I only wish my children could go there for the whole twelve years of school. It prepares them to work hard and it's not always easy but they had plenty of fun! Too Bad that my daughter in stuck at WIHI now but if it weren't for this school she would not have been in the top classes at WIHI. IT PAYS OFF!!!

NSS is awesome! Both of my children are/were in the magnet program and maintained all a's and b's. The teachers are wonderful and take the time to teach the children and make sure they understand the curriculum. Both of my children have ADD and I NEVER had any problems with the teachers not having time or patience with them. They are teachers-not babysitters. Great school-great teachers-great program! I will hate to see my daughter have to leave next year!

I do not recommend any child with ADHD to enter the magnet program. My son had all a/b avarage in his 3rd and 4th grade terms but dropped to a d average. The teachers did not have time or patients to encourage my child.

My son loved the school and was greatly dissapointed on the last day of school because it was his last year at this school. The staff and teachers were great and he loved the 5th grade magnet program and all the teachers. I would recommend nss to any parent.

The principal in this school is a pompas you know what. Her own ego comes before her teachers and the children. It is too bad because there are really great teachers in the school who if weren't baggered all the time would be happier. School is great except for the office staff and administration!

Excellent school and staff. Children are taught appropriately at grade level and promptly offered to move to Magnet program if academic progress warrants. Children are challenged in both 'Home school' and 'Magnet' phases. Discpline is positive and strict. Are in temporary classrooms for last and the upcoming year but staff has made commendable adjustments to space. Front staff and administration are as pleasant and helpful as teachers themselves. A joy to see students and staff focused on achievement and not just discpline. Great school environment for anyone.
