Theodore G. Davis Middle School

My only regret is not relocating sooner! I wish my eldest child were able to attend this school...

I think this school is a great school. Some of the teachers are strict, but most of them are nice. Also, they have security cameras every where, even on the bus. I think that most of the teachers are supportive and helpful. I hope that the children of Davis have a great time there. Only complaint is that help is not offered after school or before without an appointment.

My daughter is going into her second year at Davis. The principle is very interactive, whether I am attending an event or just dropping my daughter off at school I always see him roaming the halls and socializing with students and teachers. All of her teachers have been helpful in my inquiries about class behavior and grades, they regularly email progress reports and promptly rely to emails which is convenient. They do try to instill responsibility in the students. Most of the teachers seem fairly young.The only complaints I have is I really wish they were assigned more "projects" and "reports" they seem to focus alot on MSA scores and not so much a FUN education. Also dont like that the child doesnt get to pick their electives (they are randomly assigned) and can only do band or choir if they did it in elementary school.

Currently in the 7th Grade, I think Davis Middle School is a great school. They have a great staff, especially the teachers who try really hard with us. The only bad part that I can think of is how security isn't that great since there have been a lot of fights going around and there a lot of gang banger "wanna be"s. Also wish they had extra curricular sports. But love the advanced classes, especially Ms. Atkins.

I love this school i am now in 7th grade I love all of teachers at the school. An excellent education i love. Just love it all over
