This school would get a 5 star from me if the principal was more involved. I get the feeling she does not like her job. She is friendly but puts no effort into learning who the students and their parents are. These kids and the staff need a principal thats works with them not against them. Teachers are Great, the Kids and their families are wonderful. The school its self is clean and well maintained. Best of all my kids enjoy their school and are doing pretty well on their school work.
Great school. Great teachers and pricipal.
I have two children at WES and I have mixed feelings about the school and some staff. First the school was build with an open classroom concept and the noise is very distracting. the school is over crowded and needs updating. I really would like to see a new principal who is willing to challenge the students to better learn instead of trying to fit everyone to be on level. As for the teacher, there are a few outstanding teachers and others who are there to earn a paycheck. Parent involvement in the classroom is limited to the lower classes. I would like to see the teacher better use the webpages provided to better communicate with parents and flow information. I think with better leadership WES could be a much better school.
I have a daughter who attends WES, and I am very impressed with the level of caring and commitment to the students from the staff and teachers at WES. I have found Teachers to be respectful and willing to work with parents and students to ensure the student's success. I do wish there were more extracirricular activities at the school. They used to have piano during the day, and also Hands on Science after school. I believe parent involvement is good. I think all parents should be 100% involved in working with the teachers for their children's educational success.
