Roger Wellington Elementary School

Our son attended the Wellington School for one year. Academically, it was much better than the other public school he had attended, but overall the culture was unsupportive and often unfriendly. Our son was bullied and when we told the teacher, she was more than unhelpful, she praised the bully! The principal, Ms. Wagner, was not friendly and not approachable. The kids were not welcoming. Even in second grade they had established cliques.

This is a school that assumes its role as an education institution. Everyone involved, including parents, is bringing the best they can to succeed in the mission of education the students and preparing them for middle school.

My son and daughter are both at the Wellington school and I couldn't be happier with it. We moved here two years ago from Greenwich, Connecticut where the schools are excellent, so I'm picky when it comes to education. My kids' teachers are amazing--extremely knowledgeable, but also concerned, loving, and caring. We lucked out finding this school!
