Not the same school it was years ago. Doesn't hold the same standards of character, honesty and integrity.

I graduated from the Hill in 1973. All I can say is that it made a huge difference in my life and I am deeply indebted to my parents for having had the wisdom to send me there. Prior to going there I was a barely average student in the local public school system. After, I graduated with honors from an Ivy League school and have worked more than 30 years with two of the biggest of the big corporations in the country. I have a great life and own a lot of it to having been fortunate enough to attend Belmont Hill School.

My son attended Belmont Hill in the 1990's and had a wonderful experience. A great school, great teachers, and a great headmaster. plus there is such a warm atmosphere that you can feel when you come there to attend games, etc.

Belmont HIll is the most amazing place for boys. The culture of the school challenges them and yet givem them the support to succeed. Along with academics, the musicn and arts are celebrated and boys feel proud to take part int hese activities . The character of the boys is of upmost importance, and ethics and issues are always discussed. It is a wonderful place for boys to rach their full potential with out the distractions of girls. The teachers are all motivated and accomplished in their fields. THey are also their coaches and mentors. It is a rigorous place but much support to ensure success.

Few schools can match what BHS offers: one of the strongest academic curriculums in the independent school world with an athletic program that wins at everything it does, along with exceptionally talented arts programs, all taught by truly outstanding teachers who thrive on seeing the students learn. An institution that values discipline and tradition yet encourages students to step outside the box while carefully nurturing the mental, physical, and moral growth of each and every boy. The physical plant, parent and trustee involvement, and interplay of teachers with parents are all absolutely first rate. My son was there from grade 7-12, and I consider it the finest school he could have ever attended. It was perfect for us.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
