While the boarding school/prep school life can be a sudden shock to some students, the quality of teaching, rigor of courses, and social setting will set anyone ahead of his/her peers when it comes to life after high school. This is, hands down, one of, if not the, finest schools in America and possibly the world.

My child transfered from Deerfield to SPS where at last he found a wonderful learning environment. Deerfield was a disaster -- incredibly elite, arrogant students and faculty. If only they were half as good as they think!

My daughter attended 3 years at Deerfield, and she blossomed in ways we had not even imgained. She was exposed to many varied concepts, and ideas, and met people from many different backgrounds. She was encouraged to explore and also to try things she would never have attempted on her own. We love the way they instill behaviour and manners into their education as well, expecting all to share in the family that is Deerfield. The only reason I cannot give Deerfield a full 5, is that the music department is a bit weak. The teacher is wonderful but overextended. The emphasis seems to go more towards sports here, and students more into music, although applauded, do not get the opportunities they should. The theater is old and tired, and needs to be updated. I hope they will see to this area next, as everyhting else about the school is wonderful.

My son is in his 2nd year at Deerfield Academy. He loves the school, and so do all of his classmates whom I've met. I think that of all the prep schools that I've visited, none of them compare to Deerfield. The academics are excellent, and the extra-curriculars and the opportunities for sports is great.

My son has been a student in Deerfield Academy since his freshman year and he loves its. The academic program is such high quality that each child that is accepted is in for a intelluctual treat. The faculty is excellent and always there to speak to the parent and and make us feel we are a part of their community. The school is absolutely unbelievable, it is beautiful. My son was accepted to many of the top boarding school but, Deerfield won out because of it values. The whole school has sit down dinners and revolving table assignment every couple of weeks so everyone can get to know each other. The food is great also. Any child who goes to this school is well prepare for the world and with great humanity. This students consisently get into the top school every year.
