Reingold Elementary School

Before picking Reingold as the school for my daughter, I was a bit hesitant and did a lot research before making the final decision. Sadly, Fitchburg does have a bad name sometimes for their schools, but my perception of this school has changed 100%. I feel very confident in my choice to send my child to Reingold. From day one, her teacher has kept us informed about how she was doing and adjusting to the Kindergarten routine. My child is an above level learner and the school has done everything in my mind to make sure my child is getting what she needs, at her level! The administration is wonderful at this school and really have the best interest of the children in mind at all times. Everyone in the school has been supportive and friendly and just really easy to talk to. The teachers are all wonderful at what they do and you see a lot of positive parent involvement, which is wonderful. I have for sure changed my opinion of schools in Fitchburg now that my child is at Reingold. I have recommended this school to anyone looking for a great elementary school system, that will work with each family and make sure they are receiving the support they need to be successful!

My oldest daughter attended Reingold 1-4 and had a hard time with learning. I asked each year several times for help and It took me gonig to the head of the state for anyone to listen! They did NOT like this at all! They still refused to give my child the help she needed and said putting a IEP in place would be forever and that should be looked down on! She ended up in private tutoring and because she had great determination she is now on HIGH HONORS and in a NEW school! Thank GOD! I pulled my other daughter out! This was from 2005- 09 They do have some great teachers there but not enough help for all the students per class. The Pricipal has since left so the school should improve now.

Reingold was the best elementary school that i've been too when i was there. i love it and still do! remeber all my teachers and esp. Mrs.GrutchFeild she was awsome i got both my red and blue patch because of her. =] -Sivan Thammachak

Excellent school. Went from private school to public thought the experience was excellent. Teachers are terrific.

Reingold is the worst school I have ever had to deal with. Most teachers try to do their best, but do not have adequate support from the uppers. Children who misbehave are not properly reprimanded, and children who behave suffer as a result. My daughter went from a c/d student to 4 quarters of consecutive high honors upon leaving Reingold.

I could not disagree with Ms. Ortiz more. Reingold has an exemplary support system for children with disabilities, be it learning emotional or medical. Having had a wonderful experience with both of my sons attending Reingold, I would assume my opinion could be concidered reliable. I invite any parent, be it your child disabled or not, to visit the school. You can form your own opinion, I am positive you will be impressed. Tracey Cavaco

This school has proved to have very low experience teachers when it comes to dealing with students with learning problems. At one time I was even aproched by my second grade daughter to change her to another school because they didn't know or had the ability to work with her as a teacher should.
