I im a parent have child in this school. 4Th grade child with a 1st grade reading and math . I wold not recommend any one child gowing to this school
My son was in Mrs. LaPrade's 1st grade class and I am thrilled with his progress this past year. She was a very caring and concerned teacher. I am very happy with all of the teachers I have had the pleasure of dealing with through various PTO activities and events and truly believe they are all wonderful. My son is school choiced into South Street when others are pulling their kids out of the district. I question their decisions and am thrilled with ours. My one complaint is lack of parent involvement. There is a small group of completely involved parents who are the driving force behind every activity that goes on. More parents should get involved.
I have first graders (twins) that are in Mrs. April Burke's class. They were premature and are developmentally delayed because of the prematuity. I can not express more my gratitude for Mrs. Burke. She detected their developmental delay immediatly and was right on top of the situation. Because of this spectacular teacher, my children have flourished with her extra help. She truly cares for each of 'her' children individually. She has made our first year of school a positive one and because of her my children love school. Mr. Carroll is a wonderful extracurricular educator. The twins enjoy and absorb important information from him. I am very pleased with everything about the first year of school.
