Great school, we were relocated in the middle of the school year and the principal, secretary, teachers, etc. have been amazing! My daughter is really happy in this school! I'm very glad that everything is been better than I expected! Thanks...
We relocated from another state and our daughter's 6th grade transition was excellent. She made friends easily and her grades were great--honor roll each grading period. We also like the combined campus with Jefferson Elementary because our two sons are right next door. Though different schedules, it is more logistically efficient compared to our prior schools in different directions. Remington is well-maintained, the kids seem to love the teachers and principal. So far, so good!
Remington has a terrific award-winning principal who makes it a point to know the students. The team teaching approach used in sixth grade provides a good transition from the elementary years. The teachers my child had incorporated the multiple intelligence theory into their teaching methodology and often allowed the students a choice in what form their homework or reports would take. Teachers welcomed opportunities for communication with parents and often went out of their way to help a seemingly unmotivated student. The language program is exceptional offering a sampling of Latin, Spanish or French in sixth and indepth study of the student's choice in 7th & 8th. The 'specials' ie. art, music, technology etc. were well designed and engaged the students. A music teacher received national recognition in 2004. Afterschool activities were abundant and actively encouraged as were low key social events ( no dances but game nights instead).
