My child attends Bromfield School. We relocated here from Texas and although it was a little challenging to get used to it has been a great move and we are very please with our childs education so far. I have another child entering this school in the fall.
A fine school if you are already doing great. Woe betide you if you fall off the perfect path--there is no help or sympathy for you. Parents are very, very involved in education in the town from the bottom on up, and that is why the statistics look good for this school. Don't be fooled.
Fantastic Teachers! My daughter loves going every morning!
I am a graduate of The Bromfield School and appreciate the education and preparation this school offered. It was a supportive network that helped me excel in my future education and beyond. The staff is wonderful and cares about and knows each student for years after they graduate.
Bromfield is quite an amazing and unique public school. Classes are small, the teachers are excellent--bright, creative, motivated to challenge students, and truly care about their students. Work is challenging, but fun, and the group culture is that it is cool to be smart, work hard, volunteer, and get involved in life outside of school. The school hired a chef years ago who knows all the kids by name, and who buys local foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, and makes fun, nutritious lunches (Almond-glazed salmon and asparagus for lunch at school???). Many kids come back freshman year from college commenting on how well-prepared they were--how well they were taught to write and think and how they were used to doing lots of homework. The town is very lucky to have this jewel.
I have been going to this school for several years, and I love it. The teachers push you so you can reach your potential, and they are also fair and really fun to have classes with. The principals are really nice, and they are on a first name basis with most of the students. Our chef is exelent, and I know of no one who does not feel safe in Bromfield. (The last time anything exciting in a bad way happened in Harvard was three years ago.) Although parents are not very involved in the school, they are involved in boards and meetings, or have the chance to be. The extracurricular activities are limited compared to big schools, but for a school with less than 1,000 students has a range of activities, and many of the participants in these activities have developed excellence. Other activities are run by students who...(notenoughroom)
I love going to this school all the teachers are nice and they make it FUN to learn! all the kids are great and over the school is just fantastic
Bromfield is a great school where you really get individual attention, students are encouraged to excel and really push themselves.
Bromfield is a great school where you get to know everyone in your class and students from other grades. Football and cheerleading aren't big at the school but rather track, crew, and the strive to get good grades. The students are well prepared for college (some say 11th grade was tougher.) Bromfield has a true sense of unity with students that have gone to school together since kindegarten at the elementary shool across the street. The teachers are kind and funny and have a way with the students which allows them to learn productively and have fun at the same time. There is a wide assortment of classes. There's art(jewlery, pottery, etc.), music (chorus, band),media arts, Computer classes, sports, and Bromfield is proud of their drama society. There is an acting class to help gain self confidence and then productions. The Cronin Auditorium is a beautiful place for everyone to come together.
A public school that can be better described as similar to a private school. It fully prepared all students for top-notch colleges and universities. Students excel with guidance from teachers and administrators.
