At South Elementary School, I learned that my mental and physical health should always come second to my schoolwork; administration was something to be feared, not respected; that the bullying I endured was my fault, not the bullies' (I apparently just needed to "stop reacting" to harassment. The harassers were never punished); and that my ADHD and disgraphia rendered my gifted status null and void (and were the results of my "not trying hard enough"). I would like to thank South Elementary School for their reluctance to accept my limitations, refusal to see me as human, victim-blaming, insensitivity, and general incompetence. I am so grateful to have spent almost a decade in therapy unlearning the lessons this elementary school gave me.

Fantastic facitlity, curiculuum and environment for children. Tending toward overcrowding but still a fabulous school. Children work hard and the assignments are challenging. Teachers have been excellent. I have 2 children (boy & girl) in 3 & 5th grades. Both have done very well and have been nurtured at this school.
