i'm a student and i go to this school. Sorry but some parts of this report is bad... The students in 7th now going to be 8th are horrible and disrespectful.. they talk back to teachers when they are in trouble, and they don't listen to to the teachers when they have too.. but most of all they talk and play around! The good part is that the teachers try their hardest to teach the students and they are very nice and caring :) They are also super fun! The lunch ladies are super funny and very nice ! But... unfortunately.. i'm leaving this school because i can't concentrate on my work or listening to teachers because the students now moving on to the 8th grade are too loud and annoying with their talking !

My child attends this school and now is in the 8th grade starting next year and she has been here for about 4 years and has been shown alot of disrepect not only from the teachers but also from the students. The crisis team is probally more concerned about the students education then the teachers themselves. The teachers seem to have a i dont care attitude therefore this attitude rubs off onthe students making them want to be less involved. I have recently checked out other schools and they seem more academically involved ( teachers and students .) But i find it pointless to transfer her considering the fact that next year will . Her last year plus she had many friends over at bartlett so i will not move her and i really hope she choses voke or nashoba tech for her highschool choices. My son attends lhs lowell high school and he says "it's so so with education. If you really just want to go for sports lowell high is the place to go but if you are more interested in trade and more academics go to voke or nashoba." But anyway can't wait untill she leaves that school especially with moldy school lunches and a constant bug problem.

I had my child at the school for a year. It was adequate but just so. They did not have homework on some days due to the fact that they did not have paper at the school. The teachers were not very involved in the school activities. Administration seemed concerned but .... There are better schools to choose from.

This school doesn't have much things. The children need more history in there mind. You don't have much things to offer. The other schools i've been to are far off better then this school. I'm sorry to have to give you a bad report but i do think you should give the kids more and have teachers be nice to them for the good of them and have them seperated in class so that they could work with out talking and get it finished and all fast the grade there in. I really do think that is what you want to. so Mrs.Wai please think of far off better things to do with the school. i'll be watching you. If i see that my childs grades have been going up and the school is in tip top shape the i will have the ratings go up!

I too was disappointed with the after school program. They promise a lot but do not have a lot. Why doesn't UMass do moer. I transferred my daughter to another school. I was very unhappy with the discipline.

I am disappointed that there isn't more after school programs--I thought that supposedly this school was affiliated with UMass Lowell but haven't seen anything about it. There is, however, in my opinion, a good curriculum during school hours.

Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
